XMA-SS3G10N - 3GPM- 2000PSI Solid Shaft Stainless Steel Pump

Not every stainless pump needs to be big. An XMA-SS stainless pump sits at the small end of the range: 0.5 to 4 GPM, mostly at 1,000 to 3,000 PSI, in compact frames that weigh under 15 lbs.

That matters because a lot of sanitary and chemical work does not need much pressure at all. It needs a head that survives what is in the water.

XMASS3G10N

XMASS3G10N
Flow 3.0 GPM (11.4 L/min)
Pressure 1,000 PSI
Speed 1,750 RPM
EBHP 2.1
Motor 3 HP
Shaft 24 mm solid
Oil capacity 14.5 oz, splash lubrication
Weight 13.2 lbs

Stainless head, aluminium connecting rods, Viton O-rings. At 2.1 EBHP this runs off a 3 HP motor, which is a meaningful difference from the industrial stainless pumps that need 25 HP and three-phase service.

The wider XMA-SS range

The 3G10N is one of roughly twenty configurations. The useful ones to know:

Look at the third one on that list before you assume anything from a part number. XMASS3G15E-F33 carries G15 in its name and is rated 2,000 PSI. XMASS25G25E-F17 carries G25 and is rated 1,500. The G number is not a reliable guide to pressure anywhere in AR’s catalog, and it is especially unreliable here. Flow and the flange and shaft suffixes decode dependably; read pressure off the listing for the specific model.

The N models take a 24 mm solid shaft; the E-F33 models bolt to a 56C motor face. Decide that before flow, because it determines the whole mounting arrangement.

Buna-seal versions are available where Viton is unnecessary, which saves money on ordinary water.

Why the materials matter here

316L stainless head. The 316 grade adds molybdenum, which is what gives it chloride resistance. That is the property that matters around salt and chlorinated sanitizers, and it is the difference between 316 and cheaper stainless grades.

Viton O-rings. Viton holds its properties against heat, oils and aggressive detergents where nitrile hardens and cracks. On a pump specified for chemical service, the seals are as important as the head.

Where XMA-SS stainless pumps are used

  • Food and beverage: dairies, breweries, bottling lines, meatpacking
  • Pharmaceutical: cleaning in controlled chemical environments
  • Marine and offshore: saltwater service on ships, rigs and dockside equipment
  • Chemical processing: corrosive cleaning agents and solvents
  • Recycling and wastewater: continuous exposure to aggressive liquids
  • Commercial kitchens and USDA facilities

In each of those the pump is chosen for what it survives rather than what it delivers. 3 GPM at 1,000 PSI rinses a food-contact surface perfectly well; what it has to do is keep doing it after two years of sanitizer.

Servicing XMA-SS stainless pumps

Factory kits cover the valves, pistons, water seals, oil seals and support rings, all designed for field replacement. Confirm part numbers against your exact model, because the XMA-SS range spans several plunger sizes.

One habit matters more than the rest: flush with clean water after every chemical run. Stainless resists chemistry, it does not ignore it, and residue sitting in the head overnight does damage that running never would.
