The MVVS1.5 is a vacuum switch for pressure washers that draw water from a tank. It sits on the pump inlet side and senses the suction the pump creates while it is pulling water. When the supply runs dry or flow stops, the vacuum drops and the switch opens, cutting power to the burner, heater or control circuit before the system runs dry.

For tank-fed hot water machines, that one switch protects the pump seals, the burner and the coil from the damage a dry tank causes in seconds.

Will It Fit My System?

• Location: the inlet (suction) side of the pump, between the tank and the pump.
• Electrical: contacts rated 220V, 16A. Wire it in the burner or control circuit, not directly in the motor’s main power line on larger motors.
• Pressure: rated to 435 PSI. It belongs on the low-pressure inlet side, never on the high-pressure outlet.
• Other versions: the MVVS2.5 and MVVS4.5 cover different setpoints and systems.
