W4443H | Bertolini 4060 PSI 4.3 GPM Hot Water Pump for GX390, 167°F Rated

W4443H is the hot water version of the W4443, rated 4.3 GPM at 4,060 PSI at 3450 RPM for inlet water up to 167°F. The W4443H bolts onto a GX390-class engine with a 1 in. shaft and SAE J609 mount, and is built for machines fed with warm, preheated or recirculated water, where a cold water pump would cook its packings.

Why 4,060 PSI: in hot water duty the W4443H carries Bertolini’s catalog rating of 4,060 PSI (280 bar), which allows for the extra thermal stress hot water puts on seals and internal parts. The 4,400 PSI rating applies to the cold water versions only. The pump is made in Reggio Emilia, Italy, where Bertolini has built pumps since 1918.

Hot Water Packings, Built In

Standard pumps, including the cold water W4443, are rated for inlet water up to 140°F. Above that, cold water packings soften, wear fast and can let water into the oil. The W4443H is built with a hot water packing system, Sintek NBR U packings in front and Inox U packings in the rear, rated for sustained inlet water up to 167°F (75°C).

Which W4443 Do You Need?

Every cold water version is rated 4,400 PSI. Choose the one built for your machine:

• Bare pump: no unloader. For shops that reuse their own unloader and plumbing.
• W, WS and WP versions: built-in unloader and injector, with standard, quick connect socket or quick connect plug outlet.
• VRT, VP and VPI versions: plumbed with an external VRT unloader, a quick connect plug outlet on the VP and VPI, and an injector on the VPI.
• DLX and VPDLX versions: deluxe builds with a double-loop external bypass and a clear view inlet filter.
• T, WT, WST, WPT, VRTT and PIT versions: tank and gravity feed versions with the King full-flow inlet adapter.
• H, WH, HT and WHT versions (H is this page): hot water versions with 167°F seals, rated 4,060 PSI.

What Makes a Bertolini Different

• Do I need a hot water unloader? Yes. The W4443H ships bare. Choose an unloader rated for 4,060 PSI, 4.3 GPM and your water temperature, or see the WH version with one built in.
• Where does the pump go on a burner machine? Before the burner. The pump should see water at or below 167°F, not the heated discharge.
• What hot water does the W4443H handle? Sustained inlet water up to 167°F (75°C).
