- Specify 10–25 micron return filtration with adequate beta rating.
- Size reservoir at 2–3× total system flow.
- Add oil cooling for hot climates, prolonged bypass, or continuous duty.
- Include case drain when required and keep return plumbing unrestricted.
- Install adjustable unloader, high-pressure relief, glycerin-filled gauge, and thermal relief valve.
- Never overspeed the pump or run it dry.
