PS6001 Pressure Switch
652.5 PSI activation pressure switch for high-pressure automation
- The AR PS6001 Pressure Switch is a precision-calibrated, heavy-duty control device
designed to provide accurate pressure monitoring, automatic pump response, and long-term protection
for commercial and industrial high-pressure systems. - Features a calibrated 652.5 PSI activation point with a
9,575 PSI maximum operating pressure, delivering reliable low-pressure switching
in high-pressure circuits. - Helps regulate system pressure, prevent over-pressurization, and manage pump cycling to reduce
wear on motors, seals, and fittings while conserving energy.
Operation
Diaphragm-based sensing with automatic reset
- Uses a diaphragm-actuated sensing mechanism where rising line pressure flexes a
reinforced diaphragm against a precision-rated spring. - When pressure reaches the 652.5 PSI trigger level, the diaphragm transfers force
to an internal microswitch, causing the electrical contacts to change state (open or close) based
on wiring configuration. - Supports automatic pump start/stop, relay activation, safety logic engagement, or control-board
signaling for fully automated pressure management. - As pressure falls below the reset threshold, the diaphragm relaxes and the switch returns to its
rest state, enabling smooth, repeatable cycling that protects pumps and associated components.
PS6001 Pressure Switch Construction
Corrosion-resistant body with sealed electrical section
- Housing is built from industrial-grade brass or stainless-steel alloys that resist
corrosion, chemical exposure, vibration, and heat in harsh service environments. - Reinforced diaphragm is engineered for long-term elasticity and mechanical precision across
thousands of pressure cycles. - Calibrated spring assembly maintains repeatable actuation accuracy with minimal
drift over the life of the switch. - Sealed electrical compartment protects the microswitch and contacts from water, detergents, dust,
and vibration for consistent electrical performance.
Connections & Installation
3/8″ male threaded port for easy integration
- Equipped with a standardized 3/8″ male threaded pressure port for secure,
leak-resistant installation into manifolds, pump heads, hydraulic tees, and control blocks. - Compact, rugged form factor fits inside confined control panels, pump cabinets, trailer-mounted
skids, and portable wash units. - Straightforward wiring allows use in relay-controlled or direct-wired automation circuits for
a wide range of high-pressure systems.
Performance & Maintenance
Stable switching behavior with minimal service needs
- Optimized for medium- to high-power pump systems that require precise switching
behavior and strong mechanical endurance. - Helps maintain safe operating conditions by limiting over-pressurization, reducing cavitation risk,
optimizing cycling frequency, and minimizing idle run time. - Routine maintenance is simple: periodically clean the pressure port to remove scale or detergent
residue and preserve diaphragm responsiveness. - Performs reliably in hot- and cold-water systems within AR-approved temperature and fluid limits
for year-round commercial duty.
Typical Applications
Industrial and commercial high-pressure system control
- Pump start/stop control and protection in pressure washer skids, wash bays, and automated
cleaning lines. - Pressure regulation and safety interlocks in hydraulic circuits, power units,
and process equipment. - Automated pressure monitoring for marine, agricultural, and industrial equipment washdown systems.
- General high-pressure system control where accurate, repeatable switching and long service life
are critical.
