VB200/70 – Unloader Valve — 1″” NPT, 3,130 PSI, 18.5 GPM

Overview

The Annovi Reverberi VB200/70 is a large-frame, high-capacity unloader engineered for the biggest commercial and industrial wash systems. With a 1″” NPT body and flow handling up to 18.5 GPM at 3,130 PSI, it stabilizes system pressure during spraying and instantly diverts flow to bypass when the gun is released—protecting pumps, hoses, and accessories from damaging overpressure. Rugged construction, precision-machined internals, and wear-resistant sealing make it a dependable choice for contractors and facilities that run long shifts and high-duty cycles.

Why choose the VB200/70

  • Max volume handling: The 1″” NPT porting reduces restriction and pressure drop on high-flow rigs (multi-gun manifolds, large surface cleaners, or long hose runs).
  • Consistent regulation: Smooth ramp-up and stable set pressure minimize pump cycling and pulsation, improving tool feel and cleaning uniformity.
  • Pump protection: Immediate bypass on trigger release prevents pressure spikes, heat-soak, and premature seal wear.
  • Serviceable design: Straightforward access to piston, seat, and spring for fast maintenance in the shop or field.

Typical applications

  • Large-scale industrial wash systems (manufacturing plants, distribution hubs, waste/transfer stations)
  • Commercial contractor rigs (multi-gun trailers, fleet and heavy-equipment washing)
  • High-volume facility operations (food logistics yards, marine/port facilities, municipal wash bays)

Core specifications

  • Max working pressure: 3,130 PSI (216 bar)
  • Max flow: 18.5 GPM (70 L/min)
  • Connections: 1″” NPT inlet/outlet (bypass port sized to match system return)
  • Function: Pressure regulation with automatic bypass
  • Body: Heavy-duty brass/steel assembly with precision-ground moving elements
  • Orientation: Any; mount to minimize hose strain and keep the bypass path short and direct

Installation notes (shop-friendly)

Plumbing path

  • INLET from pump discharge manifold → VB200/70 → OUTLET to hose reel/gun.
  • BYPASS port must return freely to the pump inlet or to a supply tank (preferred on high-heat or multi-gun systems). Avoid restrictions, tees, or undersized hose in the bypass line.

Bypass line sizing

  • Size the bypass hose equal to or larger than the unloader bypass port. On high-flow systems, undersized return lines cause heat buildup and erratic regulation.

Thermal relief protection

  • If bypassing to pump inlet, add a thermal relief valve on the pump head to purge hot water during long idle periods.

Inlet filtration

  • Use a quality inlet filter/strainer to protect the valve seat and piston from debris that can cause leakage or hunting.

Chemical injection

  • The VB200/70 does not include a built-in injector. Use a compatible downstream injector sized to your flow, installed after the unloader on the high-pressure line.

Adjustment (tool & procedure)

  • Tools: Pressure gauge tee’d at the pump outlet or gun, wrench set, flat screwdriver/hex (per cap style).
  • Open water, purge air, start engine/motor with gun open.
  • Turn the adjusting knob/screw clockwise to raise set pressure (counter-clockwise to lower).
  • With the desired nozzle installed, hold the trigger open and set the target working pressure under flow.
  • Release the trigger; confirm quick transfer to bypass with no overshoot.
  • Repeat fine adjustments until the spray pressure and bypass transition are stable and repeatable.
  • Tip: Always size the nozzle(s) to your pump’s flow/pressure. An unloader cannot compensate for an oversized nozzle.

Maintenance & troubleshooting

  • Routine checks: Inspect for leaks, scale, or contamination; verify smooth adjustment and quick bypass.
  • Symptom: hunting/pressure oscillation → Check for air leaks on pump inlet, clogged inlet filter, undersized bypass hose, or worn seat/valve.
  • Symptom: pressure won’t reach setpoint → Nozzle too large, worn pump valves/seals, or weak unloader spring.
  • Service parts: Seats, pistons, O-rings, and springs are field-replaceable; keep a kit on the truck for rapid turnarounds.

Shipping & support

  • Fulfillment: Stocked for fast UPS Ground service; most orders ship within 24 hours (allow 2–3 days during peak season).
  • Fit guidance: For pairing with specific AR pump families and multi-gun manifolds, reference ARNorthAmerica.com technical charts or contact our tech desk for nozzle/bypass sizing assistance.

At-a-glance benefits

  • Handles big flow systems without choking
  • Extends pump life by preventing overpressure and heat-soak
  • Smooth, predictable regulation for operator comfort
  • Serviceable, shop-friendly design to minimize downtime
  • VB200/70—the large-port AR unloader that keeps high-output wash systems safe, stable, and productive.
