Most pumps in the commercial range trade pressure for flow. The RGXA4G70HN goes the other way: 4.0 GPM at 7,000 PSI, in a package weighing 35 lbs.

That is ultra high pressure performance in a frame small enough for a skid, a cart or an OEM build, which is unusual and is the whole reason to choose it.

RGXA4G70HN specifications

Forged brass manifold, solid ceramic plungers, stainless valves. The 24 mm solid shaft couples to electric motors or drives through a pulley, so it integrates with standard industrial hardware rather than needing anything special.

How it compares to the rest of the RGX line

The first three deliver 4 GPM and differ mainly in speed. The RGXA at 1,750 RPM pairs directly with a two-pole motor and is the compact choice. The RGX1550N at 1,450 RPM will last longer on continuous duty. The HN version adds nickel plating for harsh water.

The RGX2250N is the one to choose only if 4 GPM is genuinely limiting you, because the extra 1.8 GPM costs 9 HP and a motor frame.

Why low flow is the point

Four GPM sounds small. At 7,000 PSI it is not: the energy is concentrated into a narrow stream rather than spread across a surface, and that is what removes coating, scale and adhesive.

It also means less water to supply, capture and dispose of, which matters on sites where containment is part of the job. For surface prep contractors that is often a bigger consideration than cleaning speed.

Working at 7,000 PSI

Everything downstream must carry the rating with margin, including the quick couplers. The ARF070 series at 10,150 PSI is the right choice. Fit a primary relief valve, and a burst disc as a secondary on ultra high pressure builds.

Operators need training specific to this pressure class. Injection injuries look minor and need immediate surgical attention.

Watch nozzle wear closely. A worn orifice drops pressure and passes more water, so the machine feels tired and the instinct is to turn the unloader up, which is the wrong move.

Servicing the RGXA4G70HN

Rebuildable with kits for valves, pistons, water seals, oil seals and piston guides. Routine oil changes with AR64516, SAE 30 non-detergent, and a filtered inlet are most of what keeps one alive.
